Data Security
At Learn EAS, we take security very seriously. That’s why we pride ourselves on the security aspects of LEAS Institutes and LEAS Certify.
You, our customer, have full control over the LEAS application and its data, ensuring maximum data privacy at all times. You host within your data centre, using your firewall.
With the LEAS product itself, a customised security role can be created and then assigned as appropriate to designated personnel.
All communication is HTTPS encrypted and system access can be controlled and granted to designated and approved devices only.
The testing environment in the product is limited to IP address, ensuring only specific individuals or devices can access the content.
Both L-EAS Institutes and L-EAS Certify demand secure username and password authentication. And when you order our Product, it is delivered by password-protected web link.
- 1. User enters their login credentials
- 2. The server verifies the login information is correct
- 3. Upon a match from the server, a signed token is sent to, and stored in, the user’s local storage
- 4. The server decodes and verifies the token. A match allows the user to proceed
- 5. Upon user logout, the token is destroyed
Note: The token-based authentication commences again from the first point above upon next login attempt.
SSL and HTTPS
If you have concerns about security breaches or data theft, then worry no more! We implement SSL which provides an extremely secure channel between devices operating over the internet or internal network. Hosted with a dedicated IP address, the certificate is purchased, activated and installed and the panel updated to use HTTPS.
HTTPS websites load quicker than their HTTP counterparts, there is a higher correlation between higher search rankings and HTTPS and HTTPS sites are more secure.
Encryption options
It is extremely important for your data to be encrypted. It offers a huge number of benefits:
- Provides security for data at all times
- Maintains integrity
- Ensures privacy and compliance
- Protects data across devices
Web Application Firewall
A web application firewall (WAF) protects web applications such as Learn EAS products from:
- Cross-site forgery
- Cross-site scripting (XSS)
- SQL injection
- DDoS attack reverse-proxy
System Back-Ups
Learn EAS schedules regular back-ups in order to protect data. Copies of data are made and stored in the cloud.
Mobile Device Security
Mobile devices can pose a security risk. They are portable for the user but equally easy to misplace. To protect mobile devices and their users against security threats, we offer advanced features such as remote wiping, two-way authentication and data encryption.
